This novel was easy to comprehend but it still had depth. People can relate to Gogol because he is not able to find himself which is something that a lot of teenagers deal with. One of my favorites!
I see that I am still the only one to post a comment on the namesake... that scares me a little bit. i hope i'm doing the right thing! Anyway, back to the book. The Namesake was slow moving but still compelling because Lahiri follows Gogol and his life in such detail that it becomes riveting. I love how she writes! She is so good at taking the reader into the story with her instead of having us on the outside. The whole book felt as if I was right there with Gogol, waiting for the next turn in his life.
